Wow. What a day. IT started off with a 3 A.m. wakeup call this morning for the official launch of #LillyXPB. This collaboration has been the most successful Collab lilly has ever done, in my opinion. Lilly for target still gives me nightmares, but that is a story for another post...
There was a glitch in Pottery Barns system at around 8:45 the night before, and if you had the item numbers, you were able to order early. at this time i ordered the Va Via Loca quit and the matching shams. The only issue was, there were not any pictures, so you had to know what you were ordering without looking at the print or sizing, etc. I knew this was the print quilt i wanted so i took my chances on ordering before the official launch. Then it was off to bed since i had to be up in a few hours.
The hardest part was having to wake up so darn early, but boy was it worth it! I set my alarm for 2:45, and had my iPad pro, MacBook, and phone all charged up and ready to go, one device for each of the websites. right at 3:00 on all of the websites, the Lilly line popped up with the ability to shop the collection right from the homepage.
The first website i shopped from was #PotteryBArnkids, since i knew i wanted the flamingo pool, and figured it would sell out very quickly. within a few minutes, i found the flamingo, got a few towels, and then immediately went to the checkout. Next was #PotteryBarnteen for the pillows, and more towels. Check. more items off my list. wahooo!!! Lastly, #PotteryBarn to see what else they had that i didn't already order last night. I didn't see anything that i had to have, so i called it a night. back to bed all before 3:30. no glitches, the site didn't crash, absolutely no issues. freaking awesome lilly and Pb. Well done!!! you killed it!
The next morning was crazy. The weather was horrible and meals and i were running late, but it was ok- we still got on the road and it eventually stopped snowing.
once we got to the mall we didn't really know what to expect, would it be sold out? is there anyone waiting? who knows. we went to PBK first and they had all of the towels and some bedding left. YESSS!!! We bought the sheets, lots of towels, and the white duvet set. So. dang. beautiful. then headed downstairs to the PB. EH, they didn't have much left, and overall wasn't too impressed with their inventory. still was nice that i could see the line In real life. however, we didn't buy anything.
Overall i am super happy with the collab and i think both lilly and pottery barn did a fantastic job! i got lots of fun things for the summer and for my apartment in the fall when i attend SCAD.
What did you buy?!? let me know below!!!
