Helloooooo friends! I am so excited to share the process of making this chair.
The supplies needed to make a confetti chair:
Acrylic Ghost Chair
Mod Podge (medium size)
3-4 Paint brushes
2 Paper plates
It was actually much easier than I thought it would be. The first thing that I did was put a thin layer of mod podge over less than half of the chair. I was going to work in sections until I realized it would be easier to do the enitre piece at once.
Once I layered on the mod podge, I sprinkled a layer of confetti to cover the chair completely. After the layer of confetti, I took the paint brush and put another thick cover of mod podge to "seal" it. I also used my fingers to help spread and pat the confetti without moving it and making it clump. (this is important!!)
Once the confetti was completely covered with MP, I went in with my dyson hair dryer. I would be extremely careful when doing this step as it could ruin your project. I have no patience and wanted to get the entire chair done in one night. I used the lowest speed of air and the highest heat and held it pretty far back.
once the top was done and dry, i then repeated the same for the bottom. this was a little trickier since the base has more places to cover with confetti and the MP was really heavy on the very bottom of the chair. I had to let this dry overnight along with the hairdryer.
Overall, I am so happy with the turnout!!! I think it looks awesome and it is even more special since I created it!
For the confetti, I used Jadelynn Brooke and Thimblepress poppers. The best mod podge to buy is super shine. Here is a link for my chair. I took me forever to find a good quailty one and I am really happy with this one!!
The Final Product
It still has an amazing texture!
